Taming the Data Center: Demystifying Efficiency in the Data Center.
Creating an efficient data center is about more than replacing equipment or buying new products. True efficiency can only be gained when the interests of IT, Facilities, and Finance are well-understood and each stakeholder is united toward a common goal. The complex ecosystem of the data center must be understood holistically to uncover the true needs within the space. In this presentation, you will learn an effective strategy for continual improvement of the data center. Programs for energy savings will also be covered, including Xcel Energy’s Data Center Efficiency Study, ENERGY STAR, tax incentives, and city & local rebate programs.

On June 24, 2010, Enabled Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hosted an event at the EPA’s LEED gold rated building in downtown Denver to introduce the new ENERGY STAR for Data Centers. The event was called “Introducing ENERGY STAR for Data Centers”.
